Meet Some of Our Veterans

Bill Dobbs: Operations director at our Colorado Springs facility.  Bill  transitioned into a civilian role 8-years ago, after serving in the USAF for over two decades. He believes that what makes military veterans especially strong candidates for civilian jobs is their intrinsic motivation and ability to learn quickly. He says, “in the military, you have to adapt to new environments quickly and hit the ground running.”

Mike Figueroa: Production supervisor at our Colorado Springs facility.  Mike transitioned to a civilian role last year, after serving in the U.S. Army for over two decades. He says that the transition to a civilian job is like entering new territory and can be daunting, but "what many veterans are looking for is stability, so it's important to find a place where you, and your colleagues, want to stay for a long time."

Katie Rant: Buyer at our Colorado Springs facility. Katie transitioned from executive officer of a headquarters company to a full-time position at Entegris as a buyer after a logistics internship as part of the Hiring our Heroes program.  She says that a lot of her professional soft skills came from the military.  “Officers are immediately put into management positions, which taught me how to gain confidence in myself, balance my job responsibilities, and care for all the soldiers that worked under me.”
